Man what a great couple of weeks of music.
Couple weeks of practice for the half way to St Pattys day gig. Each week more fun than the last. The actual gig went really well. Played an hour and a half set,.. took a bit of a break and then had some guests up for another hour or so.
Last wednesday the same outfit was invited to play at the oldest continually operational chartered (1869) mens club in the country. (according to our host) We had the benefit of an exceptional pig and corn roast. Then played on the porch of the clubhouse for a couple hours. Unfortunately the acordian player was ill and had to cancel .. but we had a great gig none the less. The main stone building was built in 1769 and used as a warehouse on the Susquehanna canal until the late 1800's. Ths club bought it is 1916 and has been having monthly activities there since. I can tell you it was one of the most relaxing 24 hours in recent memory.
Tonight is jamming with some other folks ( the bass player and drummer that have been recording with D & D recently ).
